BiteSMS crashes my iPhone 4!

I have firmware 4.2.1 running on my iPhone 4. I recently jailbroke it using GreenPoison and installed BiteSMS through Cydia. Every time I try to use BiteSMS on the home screen it crashes my iPhone and it goes into safe mode. When I'm using it on the lock screen it seems to work with no problems. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I have similar issue with you, but not just BiteSMS crashing, few apps also crashing...
What I did to resolve this crashing issue is to use MobileTerminal and change permission to sms.db (/private/var/mobile/Library/SMS)

chmod 777 sms.db

Issue solved.

This is very strange. I have been running Bite SMS on 4.2.1 with no issue. Strange in deed.

I am having a lot of issues with bitesms... it crashes A LOT... it gets a little jerky and then.. boom.. it crashes...

Will try and see if its a db issue like posted above....

I'm starting to hate it and since I have a license for irealsms i might move... again...

Works perfect here.
Might be an isolated issue or some other package interfering.

Works perfect here as well. Might want to let everyone know what other jb apps you have installed to see if there's an obvious conflict. Also, what version of bitesms is it? The newest version is 5.1 I believe.

OP, do you have lock info or music controls pro installed? if so try removing them to see if that fixes the issue.

I'm just now having this issue too. I think it's lockinfo + bitesms thats making it crash. I'm updating lockinfo right now, hopefully it fixes it.

Updated bitesms today and since then I cannot send texts. I've rebooted. I uninstalled and now I cannot reinstall. I get this server error WTF?

Odd issue, try uninstalling it and if your daring use the betas from the beta repo for now. http://cydia.bitesms.com/

I tried all that. Then I went into my settings and somehow they where changed. All fixed now.

Yea I updated today aswell and it said that I had no more credits left. But went to settings and had to change it back to send via mobile carrier

I've given up on Bite regardless of all the good things I've read.. and have bought the license for iRealSMS and I love it.
