I just jailbroke my phone, just installed BITE SMS (first install except for 5 icon dock). The app crashes on LAUNCH. It won't even start. Tried removing, reinstalling, and rebooting...nothing worked. Suggestions?

One of the reasons I jailbroke was for BiteSMS...

Just installed the first one on Cydia...I guess I should look. yes IOS 4.1 on iPhone 4...

Thanks...just got it.

How do the custom text tones work...?

Thank you very much for the help.

I had a similar issue and stumbled upon this thread. Now I'm happily running biteSMS =)

Ok...so I have the ad supported version...and it runs a little slow. Does the paid version run better? Im running the newest beta on 4.1.

I'm running BiteSMS 5.0 beta 11. The latest one. Doesn't seem like I can send/receive texts... It would crash out when I hit send after writing a text. My friend texted me and I still haven't received it.(been 4 hours)

The previous version beta 10 worked just fine.

I'm on iOS 4.1.

Yes, I did. Right before I posted. Thanks for asking.

Although, it's hard to tell with all the other missing repositories you can't remove from Cydia.

So you can't remove the missing repositories from Cydia?

Does BiteSMS run slow for anyone else?

These are the repos listed in the Packages section, e.g., iSpazio, not under the Sources section, so I'm not sure.

I am still running Ver 5.0, Beta 11.Runs OK for me.

I'm running the same version (with ads) and it's slow...I'm not sure its because of the ads or not so I'm hesitant to buy a license.

I own a license and am also running beta 5.11 right now.
I can honestly say that while this is the number one program I jailbreak for (with Lock Info a close second) I can also say that with or without the ads it is slower than the stock app.

Every time a text comes in or when I send them out, the phone freezes for a second while it does whatever it does.

I've had this problem for some time now but I put up with it because I love the program so much. Really!

The developer is very helpful and reactive to problems and pushes out constant updates to betas. I would imagine he is getting close to releasing 5.0 although I too am getting crashes when I receive or send text messages in the last beta.

Hope that helps.
