Bittorrent HELP!!!

I just recently got this Mac and im not familiar with it at all yet, But would like to use bittorrent and cant seem to be able to figure it out... Every time I dl a client and try to open one of the files i dl, it never gets passed the trying to connect to peers state... and eventually times out...any help would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure that the necessary ports are opened on your firewall/router. Unfortunately I don't know what the defaults are off the top of my head, but if you go into Preferences, they should be listed there.

Sounds like a NAT problem to me. You need to forward ports 6881-6889 to which ever machine you are downloading with.
