Bittorrent on Acquisition

Why does the transmission speed go down after awhile? I notice that the number of seeds and peers fluctuate and it seems to go way down after I leave the computer. I have to right click "find more sources" to improve the transfer. Is there anything I can do to maintain the download speed or is there a better bittorrent client that can do this?

you could also try bitrocket as well. bit more advanced than typical mac clients

Try Bits on Wheels. Never had issues with that one.

Thanks for the replies. Upon the recommendation of other users, I tried Azureus and this one kicks butt. I'm not fond of the UI but it gets the job done.

Best OSX client is Tomato Torrent. Tiny footprint and very reliable.
