Have been using my 11 Pro 256 to take photos since launch day and have been fairly happy with it. I did notice some strange flickering when taking slow motion video but never went back to analyze that. However, over the past two days using iOS 13.1.2, I was taking photos of some objects using Dracast LED500 Pro LED studio lights (5600K white balance) and some bizarre results occurred at random. Not every shot, like one or two out of 30, but with similar results. Seems like processing is getting honked up with all their frame blending. These all have either HDR in auto mode or HDR was turned on. Never saw this on the XS or the 8Plus, or a 7... I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Anyone else seeing this strange behavior from an 11 Pro?

I would send these to Apple, attached to a bug report.

On the positive side, the part of each of these that's rendered correctly shows an amazing amount of detail.

I tried a Chat with Apple Support and, of course, their first recommendation was to reinstall iOS... They did provide a Feedback link to submit the problem as feedback, but I cannot find any links for bug reports where you can attach files. Can you suggest a link for that?

What happens when you change background color? Photograph with background not so close to color of skin?

I'll be trying some variations, but over the past 4 years with previous models of iPhones I have never experienced this weird effect in the same setup and lighting. It's definitely processing they are doing in iOS 13.x

I ran some quick tests with HDR on and HDR off. The results are with HDR on, 5 out of 12 photos exhibited this color blocking problem. With HDR off, 0 of 12 had the problem.

When using a white background, there were no color blocking issues with HDR on or off.

Apparently there is a problem with the HDR processing in iOS 13.x and the iPhone 11 Pro.
