Got a squirrel or something in a major transformer box in town and our power was out for a few hours. I"m on the road and when I went back to my iMac from my MacBook Air, the desktop is completely reset to default factory settings. I opened Finder, clicked on Desktop and went into Time Machine. Nothing. Lots of time machine backups, but none of my desktop folders show up.
I guess when I get back home on Friday, I'll insert the Mac OSX DVD and perform a complete restore. I've never seen anything like this on any computer.
Any ideas what kind of gremlin is running around my office back home? Crazy.
