I work in the university office that handles publications. We're trying to get the home-grown PHP/MySQL app running that will allow us to organize our projects into a database that can be accessed from all the machines in the office.

Our 'server' machine has an IP of 10.3.100.1 and our test machine has an IP of 10.3.100.8. The subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 so both machines are on the same subnet. We use Bonjour messaging daily between machines so that protocol works. We already have file sharing working on all machines and I can log in to any machine from my test machine including the server to access files in Finder. 'localhost' works to get the site when I'm using the server, so Apache is running OK. However, typing the suggested http://10.3.100.1 into the test machine says that the server cannot be found.

Out of curiosity, I enabled file sharing on the test machine, and instead of presenting the IP address it suggests I use http://e2300/ to log onto the test machine site.

Ideas?
