So I just bought an iPhone 3G that seems to have been unlocked/jailbroken via BlackRain. I have never used that, only Pwnage Tool. Anyway, when I got it, it synced up fine with itunes, it was recognized and passed for legit, and I transferred the setting from my old iphone to the new one.

So basically everything was fine. Until today, I connected the phone to itunes to add a new ringtone, and got this message : The SIM card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported. Yadda yadda yadda.

So before I unlock/jailbreak with Pwnage Tool, is there something I can try first, or something I should avoid? I don't want to brick the thing...

Thank you!
