black and white monitor

Hi my monitor has suddenly become black and white; is this likely to be a computer or a monitor problem; when i click on the "colour" dialog page (snow leopard) it sort of flashes blue for an instant and then reverts. after a week or so it came back, think it may have had something to do with f.lux malfunctioning as it came back as soon as i swithed off darkroom mode.
