I am upgrading this year from the original AWU that I have had since launch, to the AWU 3 in the Black Color this year. I thought process was if I am upgrading, Might as well get one that does not look like what I have had on my wrist the last 3 years lol.

How has the black held up for you all? I know it can scratch and the natural Titanium color is what is underneath, but how prone are the black Ultras to scratching?

Mine was mint until last month when I was hiking with my dog and he pulled me down a hill and I ended up rolling in some rocks lol. Bezel got a little scratched up, but the screen was still mint. I put on an ESR screen protector that covers the bezels, so I can't see the damage. I'd recommend the ESR if you get one. I wish I'd gotten it sooner!

Had mine since day 1 release. Have fallen with it, hitting hard asphalt and have banged it a number of times. Can’t tell you how many hard knocks this watch has taken. Still looks brand new as does my black band. I traded in my ultra 1 for the natural ultra 3. I keep two watches.my 3 yr old natural ultra 1 had some scratches, I think the black has held up better. Just did not want 2 black watches.
