Black background after wake up

My screen is black when logging back in after putting my Mac in sleep mode. Isn't there supposed to be a blurred image of my desktop picture in the background? Instead of that though, there is a black screen.

Any way to get the blurred desktop image in the background of the login screen once it is awoken from sleep mode?

I can login just fine. The constant black background is just annoying me
