Well i leaned on my keyboard by accident and hit a bunch of buttons. Now i seem to have a black box around everything I'm actively using and its really annoying. I'm new to macs so i would have taken a screenshot of what is it doing but im not sure how too.

Just a little more information. If i load this website on the forums a black outline with form over the advertisement of this page, if i scroll down the box will follow the page....

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Shot in the dark, but go to the System Preferences and click on the Universal Access pane. Try monkeying around with some of those settings. Some of those involve various forms of highlighting.

To take a shot of the entire screen - Command+Shift+3

To select a portion of screen before taking a screen shot - Command+Shift+4

Glad you got the Universal Access thing sorted - I had the same problem at a work machine, took me a while to work out it was Voiceover until I un-muted the volume and it was speaking at the user... :)
