I have a fairly new iPhone 5c (a few weeks) and out of no where today I went to take a picture and the screen was black. I tried resetting and rebooting. Sometimes the commands on the top and bottom work but usually it's frozen. It looks like this was a hardware issue when it first came out ... Anyone had this issue with the 5c? Any ideas for fixing? Not near an Apple Store so hoping I can get this figured out!

I've had it happen a couple of times since iOS 8. For me this was a rare occurrence. 10 or 15 seconds later I would unlock the phone, and it would work normal again.

If it's happening consistently for you, I'd bring it in to have it looked at.

That happened to me occasionally on 5s after iOS8. I was able to get out of it if I took picture anyway (in my case I was able to see the shutter button). Then the screen went back to normal.
