So I came across this theme on Lifehacker:
http://lifehacker.com/5325688/the-black-mac-desktop

It looks pretty cool and would go very well with my current background and Geektool desktop setup. But I'm curious if any one has had experience using Magnifique to change your theme. I'm NOT willing to give up any performance for looks. But I would really like this black theme.

Do you think this theme will slow my computer down at all? Or is does it completely overwrites the standard files without having an extra program running at all times to give me the new look?

Sorry if this question is confusing. Basically I want this theme without slowing my computer down. Is it possible?
