Where I am
When the iPhone 7/7 Plus was first released there was an option to have a black wallpaper and thus the dock to match (no jailbreak).

I had this for a while. Then today, I noticed that my dock is no longer black, like my wallpaper.

To fix it, I tried reapplying my original wallpaper and even a new one from one of those original websites.

Alas, my dock still isn't black. Any ideas?

10.2 fixed the 'bug' that allowed that to occur.

Wow I never even knew about this. Just tried on mine (10.1.1), where have I been all this time lol

Come on, you're killing me here. I'm missing such a simple feature.

The phone just looks so much better. Ugh...

Sorry, I had no idea about this feature even existed. I was happily on a jail broken 6S, not intending to upgrade until recently. I'm glad I spotted your post tho, and looks like there's still hope for the rumored theater mode upcoming in 10.3 to bring that darker look back!

I do have a couple more pics to post that I originally took for another thread, because the ones above are terrible quality taken with my MacBook. Just want to warn you in advance before you scroll down :/

can't even go back to 10.1.1 now, I think apple stopped signing it ?

Yessir, it is no longer signed now. You can try your luck at the Apple Store tho, like I did, or even a carrier or electronics store and hope you get with fw < 10.2. Worth a shot.
