Black Friday and Educational Discount

I'm holding off ordering a new MBP until next week when I'm expecting (just a guess) some kind of Black Friday gift card deal from Apple. Does anyone know if in previous years Apple have given the gift cards as well as Education Discount for those that qualify? Thanks

In the past you haven't been able to double up on black Friday and educational discounts.
