With Best Buy offering significant discounts for Black Friday on the base MacBook Air and non-retina MacBook Pro, it would seem to indicate that Apple is facilitating the cleaning out of its non-retina laptops from inventory in order to make way for the MacBook Retina.

It is incredibly tempting to take advantage of such pricing. But I am rationalizing that I should allow myself the option of a MacBook Air Retina, with the only downside being the wait. If the MBA Retina is disappointing or too expensive, current generation MacBook Airs will certainly then be at rock bottom prices.

It's difficult to speculate on merchants and not directly on Apple stocks.
From time to time Apple Cinema Display were going in low stock and then... totally fulfilled! :(
