Downie is a real treat: a nice full-featured download app. You can download videos from a whole bunch of sites. Anyone who regularly watches exercise videos on YouTube should appreciate downloading the videos and playing them offline. I put some downloaded videos on a USB stick and installed on my Roku Ultra.

Downie (plus maybe a USB-capable Roku) is a good gift for friends who are less-sophisticated Mac users. They may not realize that they can download videos.
Unclutter your Mac with 12 more apps. Ironic!
Silly rabbit. Each of the apps are also available for discounted purchase separately. If you need one or two, just get one or two.

Even if you got the whole bundle, how exactly do you perceive 12 added apps in your app folder as clutter?

I use Text Sniper constantly, and I just bought Unclutter which I also expect to use heavily.
Same. It's so frictionless and accurate I even use it when I could technically copy text but it's in a window I'm not actively using and I don't want to lose the focus on my cursor.

I also like that the "copied" text from Text Sniper takes the formatting of the pasted into document; copy from straight selection and paste through the clipboard frequently retains the formatting of the prior document, which requires reformatting after the paste.

Gone are the days where this would include Parallels or some other "big name" product I guess.

Well yeah cause these appear to be lifetime licenses and everyone just complained bitterly about the subscription bundles.

The ones of these I’ve heard of are all great and I already own several.

Yep. Comes in really handy for design work. In the past I've often had to paste text in a plain text editor to strip out garbage, but TextSniper handles this nicely on an ad-hoc basis.

If this happens frequently enough in a specific app to bother you, you can use System Preferences/System Settings to map ⌘V to "Paste and Match Style" — instead of "Paste" — in the apps where it's a pain point. I would not recommend setting it in all applications.

There's a menu bar app called Pure Paste in the Mac App Store that strips the formatting off of text in the clipboard. It has several other nice features.

- Automatically clears formatting
- Hide menu bar icon
- Exclude certain apps
- Optionally preserve links
- Remove tracking parameters from URLs
- Launch at login
- Shortcuts support

Many I use everyday are in there (Unclutter, iStat, Downie, Path Finder etc.) and some are up for renewal soon (Path Finder, Pagico and RapidWeaver Classic). I might just pick up a full bundle to save upgrading money and get the extra apps as a reward.
