I just went down to an AT&T store and asked if I were to buy two iPhones today and came back on Friday, would they be able to re-ring me up at a discounted price if it turned out the iPhone were to go on sale. The guy went and got his manager who told me that all of AT&T's sales for Black Friday are already going, they just haven't advertised them yet. He went on to say that Apple has no say over the price of the iPhone, it is up to AT&T. I then said something to the effect "Well, if by some act of [a higher power] (<- politically correct) it does indeed go on sale, would you be able to do it?" And he replied "It is not going to be on sale."
But would it be feasible that Apple reduces the price, lets just say by $100, and leaves it up to AT&T what they want to do with it. And then the rumor about Apple sending out the 'price matching' notice to all of its employees might show that whatever AT&T decides, lets say $50 off, Apple will obviously follow. What do you think?
