I'm trying to figure out how to get the best pricing on a 15" rMBP.

The july 2014 model is $2,499 new, and $2,099 refirb; however, with the veteran's discount, I can get the new one for $2,299, so I'm saving $200 with a refirb.

Since Black Friday is less than a month away, I'm wondering if I should just wait.

Do you guys have any idea as to what type of savings I can expect on Black Friday?

Thank you

It can't way but I suspect the black friday deals own't exceed the savings that you are enjoying with the refurbs.

Here is some previous information on discounts that Apple had last year:

And specifically to you:

$101 off a MBP retina in 2013.

Basically, if you're getting $200 off for being a veteran (and thank you for your service) then you'll appreciate another $101 off this year most likely, taking you within $100 of the refurb price but you'll get brand new. I don't shy away from refurbs ever myself. You may want to check with Apple real fast to see if you can combine the Veteran's discount with the Black Friday discount. If not, you have no reason to wait until that time for the discount.

I don't like refurbished. Had a ton of issues with Refurbished gaming consoles :D

I mean if you can afford 2100 then you can afford 2200 for 100 bucks or even 200 just get it new. Apple usually cool tho and just fixes stuff any way. My sister has gotten refurbished stuff and never had issues. For me I don't like used electronics or underwear ;)
