I am buying a Mac Pro with an Airport Card. I will have the money by next Saturday, the 15th. Of course I wanted a refurb, but the standard model has been appearing and disappearing. I hear Apple gives 10% off online on Black Friday. Either way I buy it, I save between $240-$290. Is it worth waiting the 2 weeks?

You won't get a discount on a Mac Pro. They have deals on select consumer items rather than 10% across the board.

wondering would apple employees get additional EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT oon top of the 10% off on BLACK FRIDAY?

so would it be

10% BLACK FRIDAY OFF + ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT

or would it be either/or?

what do you think... get back to me :)

doubt it. are you an employee?

I doubt it too. Most retail operations that offer their employees a discount will not stack that discount on top of a sale. They usually give employees whichever deal is better during that sale period.

Yes. I bought iWork last year and got both the BF and employee discounts; and free shipping. :)

im confused between the two...

DavaF you do make sense but incase you were making a reference to anyother electronic store (i.e. BestBuy) they do get additional discount ON TOP of the sale item...

but seems thou Scienide09 had a pleasant experience with the software... so im wondering, could it have additional discounts ONLY on CHEAPER/SOFTWARE purchases from apple?

wat do you guys think?

I don't ever recall seeing a deal for Apple computers on Black Friday. Usually it is on select software and perhaps a small discount on iPods.

^ I can confirm that they give discounts on Black Friday, having purchased this MacBook with the Black Friday discount last year in Thanksgiving. I think it's for all computers, except servers and the mac pro. I recall a price dip in the pro line as well, just not the mac pro.

Would a BF discount stack with a EPP discount? I'm anxiously awaiting the 24" LED to be in stock and from the looks of it it might not be until about then anyway.

I bought iWork 08 through the Apple website last year. I received both Apple's Black Friday discount and also my corporate discount, and the (normal) free shipping offer. It was about $50 delivered, which is a good price in my experience.

still better off buying from amazon as no tax and no shipping. the apple discount would probably be the equivalent of no tax @ amazon
