It is okay, but I prefer the white. Though I suppose I would need to see them both side by side - that mock up looks a bit shiny.

search for the thread. there's actually a company you can order an iMac in any color. about 15-20 to choose from incl. black. the pics on the site are photoshop tho, no actual images of the machine in that color.

the black looks pretty good, but i think if they would come out with a new color, the enclosure should be alu. just like the ACD's

i, too, prefer the white. the black looks good but the white looks better. it certainly would go with the black iPods. can you imagine having both the black iPod and iMac with all those white cables and a white keyboard and mouse! that'd look kinda cool but weird.

I think the white is nice. It has been apple's color for a while. And i like the way it is like how do i say it. Pure? Unlike PC's where theres like a million indentations and holes and square buttons. It is just smooth and cool looking. Everyone who has come to my house has said "Where is the computer?" And i say "Your looking at it."

1. Black looks bad with aluminum. Which is why Mini and iMac weren't made black at their recent update.
2. It's missing an iSight.:p

So, no.:)

I checked that website out a while ago..nice options but EXPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENSIVE!
Very very expensive.
Not worth it... the 20'' is almost 2400 dollars... wich is more than the price of the 24'' at the Apple store, 2000 dollars.
Really not worth it...

After taking a machine apart, carefully painting everything visible, and putting it back together, tell me that it isn't worth their prices. I'm sure they did a lot of research before they got it right.

Obviously, if you can do it yourself, you can save money. Otherwise, you suck it up and pay their price or do without colour.

I personally don't care for it in black, but my college son would love it. He has told me numerous times that he loves his Mac, but he wishese that it were black. Come to think of it, most everything he owns is black, and the white just sticks out too much.
