Black iPhone 3G... not really black?

Call me crazy, but I have looked very closely at the black iPhone 3G, and I have to say, it looks much more like a very dark purple,violet to me than black.

Maybe I am crazy, but anyone else notice this? if you have a black, take a close look. I just thought it was strange.

I know where the OP is coming from. He is more than likely color blind.


I'm color blind with dark green and purple. Dark green looks black and purple can look blue.

Yes its jet black. Though in bright light at the right angle... all blacks can look slightly blue.

First Barack Obama, now the iPhone. What is it with people and stuff they think isn't black enough?

In all seriousness, it may be the lighting. Stuff looks different under bulbs I have, some of which are soft white, others full daylight spectrum. Could be that.
