Hi,

I just got a brand n iPhone 4 from AT&T and tonight I just noticed that there are some light coming out from the side of the iPhone? Not including the sim tray. Is this normal?

i've never seen leakage on any black iPhone, but i've seen it on every white one i've come across, some worse than others. i asked a genius about it once, and she assured me it was a normal thing. i duno. :roll eyes:

:edit: these came from verizon iPhones (no sim tray), and the leakage came from the side of the metal, where it meets the glass.

I believe I may have read this wrong initially. No it is not normal. Is it similar to the artifacts that appear on most iPad 2's?

My white iPhone 4 has this too, if you look at it in the dark there is noticeable light leakage on the SIM side of the phone. I'm bringing my phone in tomorrow for an unrelated issue, so I'll mention that when I go.

Not related to the topic, just wanted to tell you how awesome your avatar is! Arrested Development was one of the best shows I've ever watched.

Is yours on the actual screen? Mine looks like the iPad 2 issues.
