Has anyone noticed their black iPhone 4 (or possibly 4S) not being "piano black" like the old iPhones, instead appearing to be dark gray (maybe slightly metallic-gray-looking in the sun) except for the piano black home button? Not exactly an issue, just wondering if others have noticed it.

I thought they say once you turn black you never turn back. lol.

Mine is black.

I haven't really noticed it, it's probably the reflection of lights on the glass.

I like my phone to have multiple colors, but not permanent. This one is matte and has a metallic feel. Maybe if you want, you can get your piano black, I'm not sure if they have it.

Thanks Brett :)

It's nice to get further confirmation from others that I made the right color choice (White 4S) ;):D

I got them from stickerboy.net They have a lot, even for MBP and iPad.

It actually came with with more stickers that covers up the metallic band and the home button, but thought that was too much. I liked the contrast made with just two of these stickers.

How long was the shipping??

It took several days. I don't know if there's expedited shipping, but it took 3 days to get to me. They use USPS Priority Mail, they email you with a tracking number.

Last Q but where in the world do I enter in the coupon code?

Also what color is yours? Anthracite brushed or silver brushed?

White iPhone ain't perfect either, under certain lighting condition, white iPhone can appear a bit gray on its display border, and that's visible yet annoying, as if the white iPhone is not thick enough.

Look at this photo for example:

White iPhone has thin black lcd border, PLUS the area surrounding the display is grayish, not pure slab white. You can notice that too, right?

Sure black iPhone may have this LCD border too, but because it's black, it simply blends in.

Mine's pretty much pure black, can't notice any difference between the home button and the surround. Under very bright light there is a slight purple tinge, but you can't really notice it.

Still can't see the gray on the display border...never noticed the thin black line until you pointed it out a few weeks ago.
