Lets try to see how widespread this is...

Public poll by the way... And please do add pics.

You need 'under 6 hours' option from sitting in my jeans pocket
Get the white!

So it was fine out of box but had scuffed a few hours later from Jeans? That's really disappointing. Nail polish holds up better :(

----------

Maybe post your model (16,32,64)

If a pattern emerges I'll edit the poll of possible.

This is pretty disappointing. I've always been a fan of the white but the black looks so damn sleek.

I hope it's not long before Apple figures out liquid metal or something similar.

Yes was perfect from the box, i was very meticulous in the store looking over its body after hearing scuffing reports.

But after a few hours of use and in my jeans pocket i noticed the edges and was able to take it back the same day after lunch time. They were literally out of stock but did have DOA stock, they swapped mine for a white from this stock

made in china, what do you expect

Of course the Android trolls, fanboys will most likely vote for option 1 or 2 just because they despise Apple.

Unacceptable. Apple went with the cheapest type of anodizing. I have a Type 3 Mil-Spec level anodised torch for 3 years now, it has been knocked, dropped, scraped etc - not a single piece of scratched off anodizing, no aluminium showing. Anodizing done properly is tough as nails.

I plan on swapping for white if there is an issue.

Are you 16, 32, or 64GB? I ordered a 64, and my wife is getting a 16. I expect mine will be harder to swap due to lower stock.

Scuffing due to wear I can handle, but out of the box before I even picked the thing up is unacceptable for a device that cost me £530.
