Black MacBook Air

I was disappointed that the new MacBook Air's bezel wasn't black as the MacBook Pros.
Going even further, don't you think that Apple should release black MacBook Airs? It would be just amazing!

Yes, all black or dark grey would be great not just the bezel.

The shape and color of the 11.6 air makes it look like a Revlon makeup accessory

on the MBA - as its mostly alu, I couldn't be happier they stuck with the silver bezel. black bezels on a alu laptop sucks. it looks cheap + nasty AKA PCs

on a black MBA - if they ever make one - a black bezel makes sense

if you whine enough Steve may just cave in and make you one. He'll probably make it an SE model -- as in 'Special Edition', and charge you a 20% premium.

Will it stop me from buying one of these new MBA? No, but I also like the black bezel and think those photos of a would be entirely black unit indeed look very nice. Of course you can always create your own with covers, shields, slicks and the like if you really wanted to.

Given a choice between it's current color and that black one, I'd certainly choose the black one. They both look great but the black looks better imo.

Light grey for me. I think the MacBook should be black to help stop the discolouration.

Depending what anodising/powdercoat they would have to use one of two things would happen:

1: Would end up looking cheap and nasty (black LED torch kinda finish)

or

2: Would look great out of the box but show every little mark & scratch, also pick up grease from fingers and look nasty. Remember how rubbish the black plastic macbook looked while in use!

I think it would cheapen the aesthetics.

That was my first thought too. Unfortunately, it's >$600 and you're without your computer for 3 weeks. If it was $250 and 3-5 day turnaround, I'd prolly do it, but I can't justify that kind of bank for something solely for aesthetics.
