My mac doesn't boot up, instead it shows a black screen and multiple chimes. The light indicator blinks in each chime. I googled a bit about multiple chimes but in my case, it just chimes in intervals, goes on and on. It doesn't detect the keyboard (no light in capslock). My system just doesn't boot up. PRAM Reset wont work as it doesnt take the keyboard

Can you please help me finding the issue. It recently had kernel panic and kernel overload, can it be the cause? The nearest apple store is 5 hrs from here so it will be frustrating to travel so much.

Mac spec:
13" Macbook pro
4 GB RAM
Dual Core Processor
Not under warranty

Thanks

Have you tried booting into single user mode? Hold down command and S until you see white text scrolling down the screen? You might be able to fix whatever the problem is from there.
