I've had a few issues with my A1260 2.4 ghz MBP of late, and tonight when I got home, the screen was black. I believe it was refusing to wake from sleep. Hitting keys or using the trackpad did nothing. Nor did closing and opening the lid. I did a hard reboot, got the chime, but my screen remained black the entire time. It's started up, and the keyboard lights up, but the screen is black. The sleep indicator light is stuck in the on position (not fading in and out as it does when asleep). Hitting anything but the function keys results in an error noise. I know the OS is running as I just got the "new email" noise (ML reopens your programs on reboot by default).

Prior to this incident, I'd had a few issues and was considering replacing some parts. At one point, only half the pixels were running. Every other vertical line of pixels wasn't in use. This mysteriously fixed itself, but then I started having strange issues with sound. Any time any sound is being output whether through headphones or the internal speaker, it's accompanied by a hissing and whining that lingers even after the audio is finished, whether the volume is muted or not.

I had guessed that the previous two issues were Left I/O board or LCD Data Cable related. Is that guess correct? Could this also be the case for the black screen? Could this also be a Logic Board issue?
