Hi there,
I have a MacBook Pro Retina 15" with the higher-end configuration, Yosemite installed and got a Elgato Thunderbolt 2 Dock plugged in where I have a monitor, keyboard and a wacom tablet attached.
Now when I unplug it and do some work just on the MacBook then come back and plug it back in, I just get a black screen about 30-40% of the time. The MacBook still reacts to keys and I can reboot it but hey it's a pain to do so...
When this happens it doesn't help to unplug the thunderbolt cable, even the MacBook screen will just be black...
I tried to reset the SMC but it didn't help.
I wonder if re-installating Yosemite might help but it's nothing I'd like to do at all.
Any other tips? Can this be a hardware issue? Should I go to the Apple store?
Thanks!
Marco
