Black Screen, iTunes Doesn't see it

I have done quite a few searches and did not find a thread specific to my entire issue.
I have an iPhone 4, with the latest release tethered jailbreak (5.0.1 i think). Phone seemed to work just fine for the past few months and today I picked it up and the screen was black. At this point I don't care about loosing the jailbreak I just need my phone to boot up. BUT I plug it into iTunes (on my mac) and iTunes DOES NOT SEE IT :mad:. I tried iTunes on a PC, same thing. I know there are folks out there that are a lot smarter than me. Trying not to go into panic mode. Help :eek:

1. Run RedSn0w & kick device out of recovery

If that doesnt work,

2. Hard reset (hold volume up button as it reboots)
