Black screen on YouTube in Safari

i recentlyreset my safari,
since then i can't open you tube.
i just get a black screen
i have forgotten something SIMPLE, i think
please help

If you mean a video shows as blank, see if HTML5 (or something else) is chosen as your default player -- https://www.youtube.com/html5

I've run into this, too. The video place holder is just a blank black square. I figure one of my ad blockers or click to flash was doing it. haven't figured out which one yet.
