Black Screen Upon Waking

Hi all,

I have a 2014 Macbook Pro With Retina

I am having a strange issue. If my computer falls asleep, and I wake it up right away, a black screen will appear with only a mouse and it won't return to the login screen for about 15 or so seconds. If the computers goes to sleep and I give it about 15 seconds or so before waking it with the mouse it is fine. What is up with this? It has been happening since I got it but I'm not sure if I should take it in. Thanks.

My guess is that... You are interfering with the OS from properly utilizing RAM [preparing it for sleep mode] when you immediately try to wake it up.
Have you tried waking it up maybe a minute or two later? Does it do the same thing?
