Hi all,

I just received my new MacBook Pro 15 with AMD graphics and I love it! I came from a 2009 13 MacBook Pro, so it's a big jump in performance.

However sometimes when the MacBook is changing from iGPU to dGPU the screen goes black for less than a second. Is this a normal behavior? has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks a lot!

It's not. Take it back or try reinstalling Yosemite. It smells like a serious hardware issue might be present.

Thanks for the quick reply...

It's hard for me to believe it is a Hardware problem since this happens randomly, it seems that it's is happening when the Mac is under some load... But I'm having a hard time trying to replicate it...

I think I'm going to try to install Yosemite again. A couple of hours ago it froze after waking up from sleep, the screen went black, only the mouse cursor was available and responsive... It seems a software issue... I think...

Please, if there is someone who experienced the same, please let me know what have you done.

Thanks a lot.
