Hi,

we regret to inform you the Formac Gallery 1740 display unfortunately does not seem to be compatible with the following graphic card :

ATI Technologies RADEON 9800 PRO MAC SPECIAL EDITION 8x AGP Ultra High Performance Dual Head Video Card W/ ADC and DVI-I Ports, 256MB RAM. For the Power Macintosh G5 only.

On boot Mac OS X "death wheel" will turn, yet only to leave place to a black screen, shortly afterwards. The same thing will occur on ADC as well as on DVI port,

There are many people here, on Macbidouille (French) forum, who encounter this problem and cannot use their display with this (long expected) graphic card. We're all looking for a solution, as for now there's none save buying a new LCD display ! Actually those who use an Apple display don't have such problems.

We're wondering whether this is due to a driver problem (yet OEM versions won't have this problem so it doesn't sound probable), or to a firmware problem that would be particular to this 256 MB Mac edition.

Hope we'll soon get a solution. Has anyone elsewhere encountered this problem ?
