I have a MacBook Pro. When I am not using my computer, I put the cover down. Lately when I come back and open the cover, the screen appears normally but after a minute or two the screen goes black and I must reboot to get going. I have tried setting the mouse for the upper corner but that doesn't work. Nor does any key bring back the picture. Is there anything I can do or must I take the computer in to Apple?

Only thing that comes to mind is to check your power settings in system preferences....Check disk permissions using Disk Utility. If that reports okay, and the disk is verified, since you still have AppleCare I'd then get it checked, better now than when your warranty runs out.

Ok I ran the disk utility. There were numerous reported problems; so I did the repair. Let's see what happens. Thanks
