Black Screen!!!!

Hi!

My 20" iMac won't start up in windows. I get a black screen with a flashing "-" in the top left corner. Can this be fixed, if so, how?!?!

How long have you waited? Which version of Windows?

i keep trying to restart but theres still the same black screen. Windows XP btw

Well 20 minutes is long enough so that you aren't just being impatient while it tries to do something

.

I suggest a backup of your data from the Mac side and then re-install it.

Actually have you tried running it with only the keyboard/mouse plugged in? Sometimes external devices can cause issues.

Have you ever been able to boot Windows or is this a fresh install?

Try ejecting the CD/DVD if you have one in the iMac.
