I dug out my iPod Classic 160GB again to see how the battery is holding up. Upon turning it on, I noticed a lot of black specks in the middle of the display. I tried wiping them off, but no good. Thought it might have been a LCD problem, but you can still see them when the display is off. Seems to be under the display. I really don't want to open this thing up, but I don't know of any other fix. I've attached some pictures, it's a bit hard to see but you should be able to make out some of them
