Black Spot or Dust

Hi,I noticed this blank thing out there,tried to clean but no luck is it a dust or a black spot ? Thanks

Perhaps a defect in the manufacturing so its not a piece of dust but a black spot

But here comes the tricky part,I noticed it after starting using HEX case (which is black inside) and before I was using a THULE carrier which did not have any cotton.

Its possible, it could have rubbed off, do you notice anything coming off from the case?
