Now that the white iPhone 4 is officially available, how do you think this will change the conversion market?

Seing the number of posts today that say something like "how can I convince Apple to give me a white iPhone for my black one?" I'd say there's still a bit of a market. :) But yes, it is probably the beginning of the end of this kind of business, so you might see some drop in price.

depends how much effort people are willing to go through.

sell black iphone 4 and pay a bit more to get the white?

or pay a bit for the parts. I think people will still want to convert their blacks.

I considered doing a conversion for about 2 months but I always talked myself out of it for 2 reasons.

1. It seemed way too expensive just to change colors.

2. I was worried about the quality of the parts I would get.

I think some of the smaller outfits that are doing conversions will probably go out of business. I wonder if places like iResQ and the more established/reputable companies will start offering OEM conversions? And maybe cheaper?

What do you think?

Bump!

What does the morning crew think? (or evening, depending on where you are :))
