Hi, I need a new cell phone, and I am thinking of buying the 8130 with Verizon. I don't really want to use it as a blackberry, but I do like the form factor, the size, and the fact that it can hold music with it's MicroSD slot.

Does anybody here have a 8130? Is it any good? Can I put music from iTunes on it? Thanks!

Uh, no you can use iTunes if you want.
Really a personal preference.

But, seeing as how you've said "Should I use Windows Media Player instead?" I'm going to assume, you're on Windows. So it should be no problem syncing with a BlackBerry.

If you're on a Mac, I head that you can't sync Blackberries with OS-X.

I have a MacBook Pro with both Leopard and Windows Vista Home Premium, I would prefer for it to work on Mac OS X, but if it can't, that is a bummer.

PocketMac for Blackberry works just fine. You can sync DRM-free music from your iTunes library, and sync iPhoto libraries. Plus, it's a free download on the BB website.

What he said. Also with VZW, you have to have the BB Data Plain, if you don't want to pay that. I suggest a different phone.
