Hi. I recently purchased bb 9700 and I cannot access the blackberry app world on my mac, cos the system is not supported. Any ideas????

no, the BB app world on my handset...

I got confused my bad :D you could try deleting the app altogether what you need to do is go into Setting/Applications/the select the option for Add-on then highlight appworld then press the x button and good bye then reinstall and if that fails then I suppose ill still help you out ;)

Judging by your answer you clearly don't fully understand the BB in the first place.

yeah, but the problem is that when I try to log in, it keeps loading all the time and when I press escape it tells me that I need to accept the user terms...

First off all:
1) AppWorld has been updated at least 3 times since the 9700 was debuted - at the very least. The most recent being 3wks out.

2a) Simplist solution - not always the best. NOTE: this will keep you non-productive for about 5mins total.
Do a battery pull
This is a hard reset but app installs/settings remain. Keep out for 1min, then back in. Then ensure you have a 3G/EDGE/GPRS connection (uppercase). Then launch - do not escape it and "Accept User license terms" - just like ANY software Desktop/Mobile regardless of OS this is required.

2B) IF above doesn't work.
Load Browser and goto Home Page (While in the Browser click on the Menu key {dominos like button} > Bookmarks> select Home Page).
- if this was changed by your provider goto http://mobile.blackberry.com (directly on the 9700).
Select "Visit BlackBerry App World" link.
Select the link "Download BlackBerry App World", then on next page "Download Now".

(direct link before "Download Now" is: http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/index.do).

You should be able to download and this will prompt you to RESTART the 9700; which you should if it did update it.

Thats it should work; Unless App Permissions are restricted.

Is this a PERSONAL BB or a CORPORATE BlackBerry?
