blackbook, refurb? HELP!

So the black macbook is on refurb for $1299 (old one of course) is the newer revision worth $100 extra? Basically it is the GMA950 vs X3100, since the speed is basically identical

I would go with the new one for sure. The bus speed is faster which means the machine will be faster since the bus can feed the CPU data faster. Also, the new machine can address 4GB of RAM.

I would go new as well. The newer X1300 and slight speed bump is worth the $100.

I doubt it's happened yet on the new ones, but I thought usually places like Amazon have mail-in rebates.

education. but $1399 would really be pushing my budget. so would 1299 for that matter. anything for 1000?
