Mac Pro 6.1 12core D700 64G and use Kryptonite process

I have BlackMagic eGPU Pro Vega56 and I download World of Warcraft game test FPS

BlackMagic <Apple TB3 to TB2 Adapter> and TB2 to Mac Pro TB2 Port

Mac Pro < HDMI > Screen

World of Warcraft

D700 60~80FPS (drift)

VEGA56 55~65FPS

BlackMagic < HDMI > Screen

D700 30~35FPS

VEGA56 58~60FPS (steady)

I am confuse. in the World of Warcraf test it is in the best case?

D700 excellent to VEGA56? Or Game problem?

It's Geekbench 6 GPU test

OpenCL
D700 27700
VEGA56 43000

Metal
D700 34300
VEGA56 58600

Interesting numbers.... maybe 2 GPUs are better than 1 GPU?

or maybe thunderbolt 2 is the bottleneck?

I used a Blackmagic 580 with my 2013 Mac Pro mainly for FCPX video editing.

In the end I stopped using it as it was too much trouble reinstalling Kryptonite every time I updated the OS.

What resolution? Under Mac OS or under Windows?

For what „World of Warcraft game test FPS“ you are talk about?

A MMO is a very bad benchmark, because the framerate fluctuates with the number of players in your area.

Short info: You can not render a game with the external GPU and send the result over the internal Connector of your Mac Pro's D700 under macOS.

A small test with "Shadow of the Tomb Raider"

D500, screen connected to D500. Bottleneck is the GPU. CPUs are rendering avg. 141 Frames and the GPU output is only 25

5700XT on MacPro 6,1, screen connected to 5700XT. The 5700XT is around the same as fast as my Vega Frontier (Vega64 with 16 GB).
Here I get 73 FPS for the GPU, CPU FPS is nearly the same with 140
