I preordered Bladde Runner 2048.

I seem to remember reading that the movie would be released today on the 26th.
It hasn’t been.

Perhaps I’m remembering the release date incorrectly.
I can’t check because when I click on the store page the release date doesn’t show for me since I’ve preordered the movie.

Could someone check for me, please?

I can see it in iTunes for purchase in 4K
maybe restart iTunes, or use the search bar.

Well, if you searched for Blade Runner 2048 it's no wonder you couldn't find it since that movie doesn't exist (kidding ).

The movie is definitely available. I can see it on my ATV (purchased it last night). Did you try the "Purchased" section in the Movies app?

If you go to Account/View My Account in iTunes, can you still see on open pre-order under "Settings"? If not, do you see the movie in the Purchase History?

I don't know about "Blade Runner 2048," but "Blade Runner 2049" is definitely available for purchase in the iTunes Store.

You can: Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top. Then "iTunes Store"/your Apple ID/"View Apple ID". If you have an open pre-order you'll see a "pre-orders" menu near the top. If you scroll further down you'll find the Purchase History.

It IS released for purchase but if you want to rent it you have to wait til Jan 19th apparently.

I had preordered Blade Runner and had it in my collection first thing yesterday morning, but for some reason the iTunes movie store didn't show it as available for purchase until mid afternoon. I don't know if there was a delay in refreshing the new content (happens every Tuesday on a bigger scale) or what?

Which country's iTunes Store are you using?
I know it's been released in the US iTunes Store, I use the Dutch iTunes Store and for me the movie is not available yet, so i have it pre-ordered and waiting for it to release.

Yeah, it isn't available in Italy either. It says "pre-order - 23 Jan" Probably in the whole Europe. Not sure about UK, since it won't need to be dubbed/use foreign subs.
