this happened to my ipod touch last week. i plugged it in and synced it and updated the iOS to the current version and the problem was solved. thats bout all the help i can offer.

Maby try in iTunes try going to get ablum art (because it also gets it for apps) and when it is done try and sync and if that won't work, u can restore and re sync everything back on. And never forget the most simple way to solve a problem, turn it off then back on lol.
