Blank disks will not work on my Mac OS X!!!!!!

Ok, for the past few weeks I tried floppy disk after floppy disk, all kinds of brands and none would work! Now I'm really getting mad. I own a Mac OS X 10.3.9. The blank disks i just bought (brand new!) are Fugifilm CD-R's. I posted a thread like this before and got no where. I really need help!:(
