If you are trying to install Windows 7 on your iMac, and after partitioning your drive and restarting with your Windows 7 disc, you get a blank screen with a blinking cursor...
The fix that worked for me is to burn the iso image within the Mac OS X to a DVD -R disc and restart the Windows install.
I had the same problem, I had downloaded Windows 7 from Microsoft Store and made a dvd from the iso file at work using my Windows XP.
Finally downloaded the file again from within my Mac OS X on my iMac 24" 3.06GHz and ran the Windows installer using the newly burned disc and Windows 7 installed without any problems.
(Why Apple doesn't post this as an official fix is beyond me)
