Blank SMS received?

I keep getting blank SMS notifications from a contact on my phone (see attached) - I've not spoke to this contact for a long time (It's an ex...) but they arrive with nothing other than the timestamp. She is an iMessage user but they come through as a txt message.


What would cause this - I don't really want to txt her :S They show up on my iPad & Mac as well.
