I have a late 2013 iMac that I purchased a few months ago with the GeForce 750m graphics chip. When I was running Yosemite, both heroes and wow ran fine at high settings, and would continue to run without issue even when they weren't the active window.
No, I have noticed about a 15-30fps frame drop in game and frequently have to scramble to close all other apps/programs down in order to play. I also frequently notice my wow/heroes screen freeze in the background when they aren't the active window, an issue that never happened in Yosemite. I also used to be able to fire up a move in iTunes on my secondary screen and play with no problem, now I can't even listen to iTunes music without noticing a dip in performance. These issues all occur whether I'm using a secondary screen or have it unplugged.
I realize the iMac isn't billed as a gaming computer, but for me and my games and my situation, I went out on a limb to buy this box to get me through the next few years and do what I needed to do. It did it, until El Captain. I notice that nvidia updated drivers for El Captain, but didn't include the 750m in that update.
I was originally planning on downgrading to yosemite using a backup, only to find that I actually never made a backup. I see there are processes out there to do this, but when I read the process, it takes me out of my comfort zone. I may try it, we'll see.
I just wanted to post this as a starting point that I'm having graphics issues and wanted to see where everyone else was. I don't have anything else graphically intensive to compare yosemite to el captain, so that's the extent of what I can say definitively.
